Yamaguchi Wins At Rainy Sugo
September 2, 2008
MORIWAKI MOTUL Racing rider Tatsuya Yamaguchi took a close win at a wet race on the Miyagi Circuit in Sportsland, Sugo last week.
In what was a miserable day weather-wise, Yamaguchi finished just ahead of Nobuyuki Ohsaki by a second in a thrilling finish that saw the two battling it out to the finish.
The wet weather meant the rest of the field was much more spread out, 20 seconds separating second and third, and a total eight riders not finishing the full 16 laps.
The next round of Japanese Superbike racing will take place at Suzuka next weekend September 7th.
