Wild Card Entry For HM Plant Honda In Portugal

October 31, 2008

British Superbike team HM Plant Honda will end a successful 2008 campaign with a wild card entry for both riders in the final World Superbikes round of 2008 at Portimao this weekend.

BSB riders Leon Haslam and Cal Crutchow finished second and third in the rider’s championship respectively, and are keen to show their World Superbike credentials for a second time this season.

At Donington back in September both riders had good weekends - in race one Haslam was running in a podium position before being taken out by another rider, only to get back on and still finish an impressive 8th. Race Two saw Crutchlow really shine, as the Englishman finished in the runner up spot, even battling for the lead at one point.

They will both no doubt be looking for podium finishes this weekend, in what would be a fitting goodbye to the HM Plant Honda team they will be leaving for the World championships next season.
