Vallelunga Tests Please Pirelli

Italian tyre manufacturers Pirelli took the opportunity last week to test a series of new tyres on the Vallelunga Circuit in Rome.
With many riders and manufacturers taking advantage of the official testing schedule ahead of the World Superbikes Championship racing here in September, Pirelli were reported to have achieved particularly positive results.
In racing simulations carried out by Noriyuki Haga on his Yamaha machine, the Pirelli tyres helped him lap as much as half a second faster than he was last season. Particularly pleasing was the major improvement in tyre durability as was highlighted by the long runs carried out by most riders.
