Szoke and McBain Take Wins At Mosport

July 21, 2008

Jordan Szoke and Clint McBain took the checquered flags in a mixed weekend of racing at the Mosport International Raceway in Ontario this weekend.

Both rounds 3 and 4 of the Parts Canada Superbike Championship were contested this weekend, and it was the first race on Saturday that saw the most excitement. A four way battle to the finish line saw Kawasaki rider Szoke beat McBain by less than 6 hundredths of a second, with just 0.7 seconds separating the top four.

Suzuki rider McBain managed to get revenge in Sunday’s race however, leading the race over Szoke after 11 of the scheduled 20 laps when rain began to fall and the race was red flagged.

The results leave Jordan Szoke still well in the lead in the rider’s championship on 196 points, with Kevin Lacombe 38 points behind and Clint McBain breathing down Lacombe’s neck after his good results at the weekend.
