SMT Honda In Search Of Replacement Rider

June 24, 2008

The SMT Honda team are in a race against time to find a replacement rider in time for the next race in the British Superbikes calendar at Mallory Park on 27-29 June.

First choice rider Adam Jenkinson broke both wrists in the second race at Thruxton at the beginning of the season and has so far been covered by Tom Grant and Marshall Neil. Grant raced for the Honda team at Oulton Park and Donington, while Neil took over for the latest round of racing at Snetterton.

So far no replacement has been named for the three days of competition at Mallory Park this weekend, and it is highly unlikely Jenkinson will be making a return at this stage of his recovery.

The latest news that the legend Sean Emmett will be racing for SMT this weekend! He’s been racing in the Yamaha R1 Cup and been doing pretty well, I wonder how all his old rivals will take the news?
