Pirelli Continue Tyre Partnership With BSB

Tyre manufacturer Pirelli go into the 2009 BSB season increasing their commitment to both the supersport and superbike championships, as they go into their second year as sole tyer sponsors.
Pirelli will now offer an extra rear-compound option as part of their ‘6000 tyres per event’ commitment. This means the superbike championship will now be provided with 4 different compund options while the supersport class will be offered 3.
Pirelli signed a 3 year sponsorship deal with BSB in 2008 and have impressed ever since, with on the track performance showing significant improvements. Additionally, the data picked up over the last year can now be used in future tyre development, suggesting further performance improvements over the coming years.
