Neukirchner Hopeful Of Starting At Assen
April 15, 2008
German Max Neukirchner is recovering well from a broken collarbone and is hoping to be ready to race at the Dutch round of the World Superbikes Championship in just under two weeks.
The Alstare Suzuki rider suffered his injury after being hit by Carlos Checa on the final lap of the first race in Valencia, causing hime to miss the second race and become a doubt for the Assen round.
However Neukirchner wasted no time in going for an operation the next day and beginning his recovery. Max is now confident of getting back to fitness in time for the next round and show the same form that came so close to earning a victory in Valencia last weekend.
