Motorbike Leasing Market Growing
October 7, 2008
It may be the increased interest and coverage of superbike racing over the past year, or the state of the economy and petrol prices, but the number of motorbikes on the road is certainly increasing, opening the path to a whole new leasing service.
Up until now most vehicle leasing companies would just provide cars and vans for lease hire and you would have to look pretty hard for a specialist that could lease out a motorbike. An employee wanting a motorbike as their company vehicle would have to do a lot of searching themselves rather than being inundated with options and offers.
However, with it becoming more expensive to run a car recently and a definite resurgence in the number of bikers returning to the road it has never been a better time for the leasing market to take advantage of the situation.
Manufacturers such as BMW and Harley Davidson are already benefiting from this change in the market through increased personal contract hire, suggesting this popularity could transfer quite easily to the leasing market.
However it all comes down to the end users making their demand for such a service obvious to the right people. Those wishing to hire a motorbike as a company vehicle need to get their voices heard in the right places.
