Major Changes To Canada Superbikes Rules

February 27, 2009

The Parts Canada Superbike Championship announced a series of changes to its rulebook last week, affecting all racing divisions and opening the door for more new machinery to enter the 2009 classes.

For example, in 2009 the twin cylinder motorbikes from BMW and Buell will be allowed to compete in sport bike classes, with different weights and technical limitations to their 4 cylinder counterparts.

Colin Fraser of Professional Motorsports Productions said:

Buell and BMW have both been great supporters of the national series and we think their presence in the Sport Bike classes will add excitement to two of the most competitive divisions on the tour”
