Japanese Superbikes Race Two - Suzuka

April 29, 2009

April was a busy month for the Japanese Superbikes Championship, as it saw not only the opening race on the 5th but also round two from the Suzuka circuit in Suzuka on April 19.

On another fine day for superbike racing, it was Team F.C.C. TSR Honda rider Kohsuke Akiyoshi who took full spoils, with a fierce battle for second place resulting in Tatsuya Yamaguchi and Daisaku Sakai taking the remaining places on the podium ahead of an unlucky defending champion Katsuyuki Nakasuga who finished 4th and is yet to really get going.

So after two rounds it is still Chojun Kameya who leads the championship after his dominant first round win.
