Haga Recovering After Surgery To Collarbone

June 8, 2008

Noriyuki Haga is on his way to recovery after undergoing surgery to fix his broken right collarbone earlier this week.

The Yamaha Motor Italia WSB rider suffered the injury during round 6 of the World Superbikes Championship at Miller Motorsports Park in the USA last Sunday, and was quickly whisked off to hospital in California the following morning.

Haga had a metal plate fitted with eight screws, and recovery time for these injuries are normally at least 3 weeks. However the Japanese rider has insisted he’ll be taking part in the next round at the Nurburgring on June 15.
