Greinbach Austria World Supermoto
August 21, 2008
This is a guest post for me on Super bike info about the World Supermoto in Grienbach Austria. Greinbach is a new venue to the World supermoto series giving Austrian’s another chance to see the great sport after the last opportuntiy back in 2006 in Melk.
In front at the top of the current ranking is Bernd Heimer from Germany, 2nd Thierry Van Den Bosch but way in the distance from a bad start to the World supermoto is Italian Ivan Lazzarini for the S1 standings.
GREINBACH RETURN TO AUSTRIA
Greinbach in Austria has the opportuntiy for the first time of hosting a Grand Prix for SuperMoto. The course is advised to be windie and twistie but also very technical in parts. There are a number of different types of courners and a variety of road surfaces to ensure a good competitive race. Part of the track are as small as 10m wide which is cast on to a forest backdrop.
As a location the town of Greinbach is quite small and quaint with only 2000 people i in and around the area, so its going to be a busy few weeks for the citizens.
We will keep you updated with race times and results…..
