British Superbikes Championship - Oulton Park Preview

The British Superbikes Championship returns to Oulton Park this weekend with many of the riders eager to put themselves in the Championship title race as we go into the second half of the season.

Shane Byrne on the Airwaves Ducati currently leads the Championship with a seemingly comfortable 97 points, but the likes of Cal Crutchlow, Leon Camier and Leon Haslam are all eager to make it a tight race to the finish. [read more]

AMA Superbikes at Laguna Seca

The AMA Superbikes Championship visits the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca circuit this weekend in the first of two scheduled rounds at the famous circuit in Monterey, California.

The July weekend has also become an annual meeting with the MotoGP Championship, the riders from the premiere motorbike racing championship competing here over the same sellout weekend. [read more]

Haydon Stays On For Kawasaki

Vallelunga Tests Please Pirelli

Italian tyre manufacturers Pirelli took the opportunity last week to test a series of new tyres on the Vallelunga Circuit in Rome.

With many riders and manufacturers taking advantage of the official testing schedule ahead of the World Superbikes Championship racing here in September, Pirelli were reported to have achieved particularly positive results. [read more]

Haslam Struggling To Adapt To HM Plant Honda

Leon Haslam has conceded that his move from Ducati to HM Plant Honda this season has been “a steep learning curve”, but feels he is improving as we move into the second half of the British Superbikes season.

Haslam’s form in previous season’s and subsequent move to the strong Honda team meant he entered the 2008 season as a big title favourite. However, 12 races into the season and the British rider sits disappointingly fourth in the riders standings, not having won a single race. [read more]
