SMT Honda In Search Of Replacement Rider

The SMT Honda team are in a race against time to find a replacement rider in time for the next race in the British Superbikes calendar at Mallory Park on 27-29 June.

First choice rider Adam Jenkinson broke both wrists in the second race at Thruxton at the beginning of the season and has so far been covered by Tom Grant and Marshall Neil. Grant raced for the Honda team at Oulton Park and Donington, while Neil took over for the latest round of racing at Snetterton. [read more]

Haga Recovering After Surgery To Collarbone

Noriyuki Haga is on his way to recovery after undergoing surgery to fix his broken right collarbone earlier this week.

The Yamaha Motor Italia WSB rider suffered the injury during round 6 of the World Superbikes Championship at Miller Motorsports Park in the USA last Sunday, and was quickly whisked off to hospital in California the following morning. [read more]

Carlos Checa on Form in the US

Carlos Checa fought his way to an emphatic double win in the 6th round of the World Superbikes Championship at the Miller Motorsports Park yesterday, giving Honda their 100th win in World Superbike racing.

It was the first return to the USA for World Superbikes in 2 years, with 51,000 spectators watching the day’s racing. It was particularly pleasing for Spanish rider Checa, as the first double win of his career was added to by new lap records in both races on top of the Superpole win on Saturday. [read more]
