Corser To Race For BMW

September 29, 2008

BMW announced last week that Australian Troy Corser will ride for their team on the all new BMW S1000RR superbike for 2009.

The two times World Superbikes champion has signed a two year contract and ends months of speculation as to who would join Spaniard Ruben Xaus at the new BMW team.

Corser first won the World Superbike championship back in 1996, becoming the youngest rider ever to do so. His second win came almost 10 years later in 2005. He has taken part in over 300 races, reached the podium on 126 occasions and achieved 42 pole positions, earning him the name of ‘Mr Superpole’.
