Team Go Big Racing Drop Out Of Championship

All-Canadian team Go Big Racing last week announced that they will no longer be competing in the Parts Canada Superbikes Championship due to problems in securing adequate sponsorship deals for the forthcoming 2008 season.

The team had a highly successful 2007 and looked on course to repeat - if not better - that feat this year, but these surprising financial difficulties have meant team operators Paul Glenn and Ross Millson announced the split effective immediately. [read more]

New Group Formed To Coordinate Canadian Motorcycle Racing

The Motorcyclists Confederation of Canada (MCC) last week announced the formation of a new “Competition Working Group” whose purpose will be to manage and ultimately expand motorbike racing in Canada.

The group’s founding members include the MCC, Parts Canada Superbike Championship, World Enduro Canada (WEC) and the Canadian Motosport Racing Club (CMRC). It is hoped this coordination between the major racing groups in Canada will help to put Canadian motorcycle racing on the world map as a strong force in competitive racing. [read more]
