BSB Returns To ITV

The 2009 British Superbikes Championship will receive extensive coverage on ITV this year, ensuring plenty of mainstream exposure for the leading domestic motorbike racing series.
The package agreed with BSB commercial directors Motorsport Vision sees 1 hour specials on racedays on ITV4, followed by a midweek highlights show on ITV1.
The Championship already enjoys extensive live coverage through Eurosport, so the extra mainstream airtime can only help to build on the impressive reputation of British Superbikes.
The BSB had experienced mainstream coverage through Channel 4 last season, however it was quietly moved to graveyard-shift slots, making the original deal worth very little. Motorsport Vision can only hope the forthcoming season’s racing will be exciting enough to keep the mainstream channel and audience glued to the edge of their seats!
