BSB 2008 Entry List Published

March 12, 2008

A wide open and very competitive entry list for the 2008 British Superbikes Championship was published yesterday. 31 riders have been confirmed to be racing over the 12 rounds this season, no doubt making this season one to remember.

Nobody will be racing with the number 1 plate this year - reigning champion Ryuchi Kiyonari having moved to compete in the World Superbikes Championship. Leon Haslam takes over as the main rider for the HM Plant Honda team, and will be joined by 2006 British Supersport Champion Cal Crutchlow.

They will no doubt face stiff competition this season from Tom Sykes and Atsushi Watanabe racing for Rizla Suzuki, as well as the Airwaves Ducati team in the form of veteran Shane Byrne and Leon Camier (another former Supersport champion).

Other notable inclusions on the entry list for 2008’s racing include James Haydon, James and Dean Ellison and Michael Rutter.
