British Superbikes - Thruxton Qualifying

Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne was on good form today to take pole position for tomorrow’s racing in the first round of the British superbikes 2008 season tomorrow.
The Airwaves Ducati rider posted an excellent lap time in difficult conditions to take pole ahead of fellow Brit Leon Haslam who had been the fastest rider through most of qualifying.
Michael Rutter posted a flying lap time in the last 15 minutes to take 3rd on a damp Thruxton Circuit, just beating Haslam’s teammate Cal Crutchlow who will complete the front row for tomorrow’s racing.
