British Superbikes Championship - Oulton Park Preview
July 18, 2008
The British Superbikes Championship returns to Oulton Park this weekend with many of the riders eager to put themselves in the Championship title race as we go into the second half of the season.
Shane Byrne on the Airwaves Ducati currently leads the Championship with a seemingly comfortable 97 points, but the likes of Cal Crutchlow, Leon Camier and Leon Haslam are all eager to make it a tight race to the finish.
Crutchlow leads the chasing pack, with Camier and Haslam 23 and 35 points behind the HM Plant Honda rider respectively. All 3 have performed well recently and can hope to get something from the popular Cheshire circuit.
However, Byrne can rightly be confident of a solid performance here this weekend - ‘Shakey’ took the double win here at Oulton Park last time out just over two months ago.
Both races of BSB round 7 are scheduled for Sunday 20 July and will be live ion British Eurosport.
