British Superbikes Championship on Channel 4

April 21, 2008

The first terrestrial coverage of the 2008 British Superbikes season begins with the opening races from Thruxton to be shown on Wednesday night.

The 50-minute highlights show will be presented by James Cracknell (unusual choice!) and goes out at 1.10am. There will also be an exclusive competition held during the show where lucky viewers will get the chance to win tickets to the next round of the British Superbikes championship at Oulton Park, Cheshire on 3-5 May.

It’s a little disappointing to see terrestrial coverage of the BSB limited to a short programme broadcast during the graveyard shift - last year’s ITV coverage was at a much more popular time - hopefully future coverage will be on at a more favourable time and pull in more fans.
