You could own a bike simply as a leisure thing, but it is also possible to ride as part of your job. Couriers often ride on motorbikes because they are fast and manoeuvrable and they allow them to conduct their work more efficiently. Being a courier is ideal for those that love to be on their bike as much as they can.
Of course, when you are a courier your bike becomes a kind of business asset. It is the means by which you earn a living. As a result, you will need a new approach to things like tax and insurance. Commercial vehicles often do not have to have tax paid on them, which could be good news for you if you use your bike outside of work too.
