Akiyoshi Wins Double At Suzuka
September 18, 2008
Last weekend saw the penultimate round of the Japanese Superbikes season and it was Kohsuke Akiyoshi that had the best day at the Suzuka International Racing Course in Mie Prefecture last weekend, winning both race one and two in style.
It was a good day for racing weather-wise and it saw a good turn out for the premier Japanese racing series, with roughly 17,000 spectators present on a fine sunny day.
Both races saw identical podiums - Akiyoshi winning both races quite convincingly, followed Katsuyuki Nakasuga and Shin’ichi Itoh battling for second with Nakasuga winning the battle both times.
The final round of the 2008 MFJ Superbikes calendar will take place on the 5th October.
